In this field, JEMA includes all the activities related to the design, manufacturing and service of systems used to assure a permanent, high-quality and fault-free supply to the critical loads or components of an installation: DCS, control rooms and main equipment at power plants (combined cycle, nuclear, diesel, coal, cogeneration, hydraulic, bio-mass, solar, incinerators, etc.), LNG plants, refineries, offshore platforms, chemical industries, rail installations, etc.

A typical supply is usually a set of highly-reliable and robust customised industrial equipment, that may consist of:

• rectifiers
• battery chargers
• UPS’s
• inverters
• converters
• stabilisers
• transformers
• distribution cabinets
• set of batteries (lead, Ni-Cd, planté, etc.)

All these systems can be supplied in power ratings ranging usually between 2 kVA and 1000 kVA, built and configured to meet the requirements of the customer. These include complying with a wide variety of specific end-user standards and national and international regulations, affecting numerous aspects: ranges, accuracy, control, programming, signalling, communications and monitoring; back-up time, protections, trademarks of certain components, environmental and mechanical conditions, etc.
